Wrong Charlie
“Death, man is ready for…it’s the simple things that send a man to the madhouse”
Charles Bukowski

Wrong Charles,
Death,
Man is never ready for…
Simple things might send him to the madhouse,
But you can leave eventually,
Back to the costume—all hung up in a nice walk in closet.
Death, there is no turning back…
You step out the door…and into something that you never have experienced.

The madhouse has tangible exits,
You may not be cured…but many leave.

Death…
Death…
Can be the end—or something that cannot be explained.

Some strive to obtain death by not breathing…
Some are dead already, but continue to blink, nod, and fuck—but fail to realize they’re already gone.

They do not necessary live in madhouses…nor do they admit they are wishing to be
deceased.

You see, mortality is a funny thing Charlie boy, tell someone it will be taken away in an hour
and watch the population freak.

So please, Chuck…Charles…Hank…or whatever you want to be called today. Do not
tell me that man is ready for death and breaking a shoelace is enough to send man to the
madhouse…

Because you’re lying—to those who have legitimately gone insane
