Featured Poet: Michelle Close Mills

 

Michelle Close Mills, a published poet, writer, wife, and mom is a native of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, residing in Seminole Florida.

 

A freelance journalist for over eighteen years, Michelle’s work appeared in the “Ft Wayne News Sentinel” of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, “Muncie Star” of Muncie, Indiana, as well as the “Largo Leader” and “Seminole Beacon” newspapers of Central Florida. She was also a long time contributor for the “Edgerton Earth” newspaper of Edgerton, Ohio where she wrote a historical column entitled “Stories of Edgerton’s Past”.

 

Michelle’s poetry and short stories have been published in many online magazines, including "Autumn Leaves”, and "Sage of Consciousness", “Skyline Magazine”, “SpinningS”, “Poet Express”, “The Suitcase Generation”, print magazines “Fate”, and “GreenPrints, the Weeder’s Digest”, and “Winter Sky” as well as anthologies “Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul Daily Inspirations”, “Pocket Prayers” by Chronicle Books, and “The Rocking Chair Reader–Family Gatherings” by Adams Media, “To Have and To Hold: Prayers, Poems, and Blessings for Newlyweds” by Time Warner’s Center Street Books, “Washing The Color of Water Golden” by Sun Rising Poetry Press, “Wounds of War: Poets for Peace” by Publish America, and “Beyond Katrina” by the Arts Council of Central Louisiana.

 

Additionally, Michelle was recently signed by “Worth Remembering Publishing” of Atlanta, Georgia as a freelance writer for their upcoming projects.
