Sometimes I feel invisible,
whitewashed by time.

I listen a lot, don’t interject
my thoughts over others
and sometimes wish
I was the outspoken one
in a group to make
my ideas heard,
instead of treading water.

Maybe my actions are
as opaque as my opinions,
run over by stronger wills
fighting for the spotlight.
